Malcolm Edward Miller, 77, of Kennett Square died Tuesday, Febr. 10, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.He was the husband of Mable Gregg Miller, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, he was a son of the late Theodore R. and Myrtle Heed Miller.

Mr. Miller served as a Pennsylvania deputy game protector and worked as a stone mason after graduating from Kennett High School. He retired in 1993 after working 37 years for Mushroom Transportation and St. Johnsbury Trucking.

He was a member of the Kennett Fire Co. and the Kennett Square Presbyterian Church. As an avid fisherman, he spent 30-plus years on the Chesapeake Bay with his family where he enjoyed his hobby.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Malcolm E. Miller Jr. of Lima, Peru; one daughter, Barbara J. Miller of Kennett Square; and one grandson, Kevin Clark Jr. of Kennett Square. He was predeceased by three brothers Theodore Jr., Richard and Robert.

A memorial service celebrating Malcolm’s life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Presbyterian Church of Kennett Square, 211 S. Broad St., Kennett Square. Family and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be private.
